The Blo Boys are an art rock group from the village of Blo Norton in Norfolk. Their first E.P. ‘The Tony Benn Tapes’ was recorded in 2001. This was followed in 2003 by the ‘Country’ album – an experiment concept album recorded with single microphone in a farm yard. It was largely improvised and the sound was mixed by moving instruments and live animals nearer and closer to the tape machine. It contains early prototype version of some the bands favourite songs, including ‘Angry Badger’, ‘Country’ and ‘Deer Attack’. These songs were later rehearsed and then re-recorded in a more conventional manner in 2005 as ‘Songs From Blo’ Norton’. A number of other demos and live recording also exist online. The band still perform.
