For this project I once again collaborated with Lee Campbell and we developed a new work’. We had two walls in the gallery. One wall was labled ‘I like Ducks‘ and here we invited gallery visitors to post up tributes to the ducks on the pond out side the galley in drawings, poems, stories and photos. The other wall was labled ‘I like Duck‘ and here we asked gallery visitors to post up their tributes to ducks they have eaten, in recipes, restaurant recommendations and dinning anecdotes. At regular intervals during the course of the exhibition we took selected tributes outside to the pond by the gallery and read them out to the ducks. By the end of the exhibition we had collected over 500 contributions from gallery visitors. For the finale of the show, musician Daren Callow helped us to a composed a song for ducks using of the words people had written.
Special thanks to Cafe Gallery, Gary Stevens and Arts Admin.
